We are looking for a beginning farmer, or couple, interested in cheese making as part of a diversified approach to farming. We have a newly reestablished dairy on 54 acres in Ryegate Vt, with a licensed creamery. We raise Jersey cows, goats, sheep, turkeys, and hens. We garden, (with a hoop house for fall greens) have started small fruits and have an older orchard. Our cheeses are selling well in local markets and our market research has revealed local interest in a farm that provides multiple products. As a partner you will share our farm, fields and barns, join in our activities, bring your own interests and, eventually, take over the farm from us. We are financing the infrastructure and have a strong business plan but we aren’t as young as we would like to be.
