Infrastructure details:

We have an old farmhouse with some updated features, which could be included in the lease (three bedrooms). We will be giving renters a one-year lease. There is an old barn that looks like it would have housed both chickens and cows (probably); the barn has a new metal roof and open second story hayloft. The water source is a well.

Equipment available:

Walk-behind brush mower.

Conservation easements:

Woodland is enrolled in New York state's current use program (Chapter 480a) and can only be harvested according to the management plan.

Additional details:

4 tillable acres, 5 pasture acres and 1.5 acres of perennials. 125 wooded acres. The farm has old apple trees; blueberries and blackberries. We own property nearby that has a much larger orchard that we could also make available. I believe the farm would be best suited for intensive vegetables in hoophouses, with maybe some chickens and goats. The soil is quite moist and will need work.

Owners are open to working out something creative with respect to tenure for prospective farmers.
