Agriculture and Land Based Training (ALBA) - Salinas, CA
ALBA is a non-profit organization based in Salinas, CA. Since 2001, ALBA has provided educational, marketing and farm business opportunities to farm workers, aspiring and beginning farmers on two ranches totaling 150 acres of certified organic farmland. Each year, ALBA hosts 45+ primarily Hispanic farmers in its Small Farm Incubator and another 30+ Farmer Education Program participants.
Our mission is to advance economic viability, social equity and ecological land management among limited-resource and aspiring farmers. We work to create opportunities for family farms while providing education and demonstration on conservation, habitat restoration, marketing and whole farm planning.

Massachusetts Farm to School - Amherst, MA
Simca Horwitz is the Eastern Mass. Program Director for Massachusetts Farm to School. In this role she provides training and technical assistance to food service professionals, farmers, food distributors, and community advocates and engages in local and regional food systems planning and policy efforts. Simca is a state representative to the National Farm to School Network, sits on the National Farm to Preschool Committee, and serves as an advisor to the Massachusetts Food Plan. Simca has worked in a variety of non-profit organizations in the Boston area that focus on food and agriculture, including as a farmer and farm-based educator at a community farm and running a shared use community kitchen for culinary entrepreneurs. She holds an M.S. in Food and Agriculture Policy from the Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy.

Minnesota Food Association - St. Croix, MN
Hilary Otey Wold is the Executive Director of Minnesota Food Association (MFA). MFA operates Big River Farms, a training farm providing an array of educational opportunities around sustainable organic agriculture for farmers and the community. Hilary has over 15 years of nonprofit leadership experience, a BA in Sociology from Merrimack College and an MBA in Public and Nonprofit Management from Boston University. Hilary has a great deal of experience in program development and management. Her cross-sector experiences have strengthened her skills in strategic planning, communication, building successful teams and fundraising, enabling her to produce desired programmatic and financial results.
