Role
Leah, New Entry's Incubator Farm Manager, is responsible for managing technical assistance programs and serving as the primary coordinator for enrolled incubator farmers. She teaches field-based workshops and assists in production, business development, marketing, and transitioning farmers onto independent sites. Leah manages incubator training farms and related farm equipment and site preparation for dozens of New Entry growers each season on 15 acres of land at New Entry's site in Beverly, MA. Leah also works directly with New Entry program farmers and staff and is responsible for helping farmers work towards independent farming goals and overall farm profitability.
Background & Education
Prior to joining New Entry, Leah served as an Agriculture Team Coordinator for The Trustees, spent five years as the Assistant Farm Manager at Appleton Farms, and served as Assistant Grower on multiple eastern Massachusetts farms. Leah holds a B.S. degree in Biology and Global Studies from Emmanuel College.
