COVID-19 and the Quivira Coalition's New Agrarian Program Guidelines

This document was developed by the Quivira Coalition and is intended to provide NAP (New Agrarian Program) participants with general recommendations for safety during COVID-19, as well as an update on how the pandemic is affecting NAP’s programmatic offerings. The suggestions in the document are meant to be used as a starting point—it is up to individual and mentors to decide which precautions to take based on their unique situation. Quivira recognizes that the situation is different in every state, as well as in each household. As a community, Quivira expects everyone to be willing to discuss safe practices, to respect the health and safety requests of those around them, and to do their part to ensure that those with whom they live and work with stay safe.

The document includes topics on:

  • Discussing expectations
  • Making a plan
  • Sharing resources on paid sick leave
  • Unemployment insurance
  • NAP activities
  • Hygiene best practices
