Pressed Tofu Salad

Raw chop with tofu. Half crunch.

Serves:

5 people

Ingredients

  • 1 pound dry pressed tofu (or press extra-firm tofu yourself)
  • 2 medium to large carrots
  • 2 large celery stalks
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 1/4 cup dark sesame oil

Directions

Cut the tofu into 2-inch matchsticks; grate the carrots and celery.  Whisk together the remaining ingredients.
Toss everything together and let it marinate for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.  Toss again immediately before serving
