Date: October 19-21, 2026

Location: Cork Factory Hotel in Lancaster, PA

Who Should Attend: This event is for Incubator Farms, Agricultural Apprenticeship Programs, Land-based Farmer Training Organizations, Extension professionals working with beginning farmers, or those interested in exploring shared land access and multi-farmer land use opportunities.

Get your Room Block: Attendees should call 717-735-2075 and press 1 for front desk/reservations in order to book rooms in the “FIELD School Block”. Our Block rate is $139 / night starting October 18th - October 22nd. Hotel Update: If you can't reach the hotel on your first call, the hotel will return messages in a timely manner to book reservations. They do not have an online booking system that accommodates promotion codes, but will check messages daily. They noted 11am-2pm EST and after 5pm EST as the best times to reach the front desk directly and apologize for inconveniences. 

Travel Tips: 

For those traveling by air, the closest airports are:

• Philadelphia International Airport (PHL): ~1 hour 20 minutes (60–70 miles)
  • Ground transport: Rental cars, rideshare, train: take the SEPTA Airport Line from your airport terminal to 30th Street Station (about 20–25 minutes) Amtrak from PHL → Lancaster via 30th Street Station (about 1 hour and 15 minutes).
• Harrisburg International Airport (MDT) Closest major airport: ~35 minutes (30 miles)
  • Ground transport: Rental cars, limited shuttle options.
• Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI): ~1 hour 45 minutes (90 miles)
  • Ground transport: Rental cars, train transfer through PHL but expect 4-5 hours travel time.

Event Summary

This annual conference brings together organizations from across the U.S. and Canada that are committed to building resilient farming communities, empowering new farmers, and ensuring equitable access to sustainable agriculture to participate in workshops, networking, and peer-to-peer learning on running successful incubator and apprenticeship programs.  

Each year New Entry hosts FIELD School in a different community to foster regional equity and honor diverse lands and climates. 

Attendees exchange ideas, build relationships, and visit local farms to see training programs in action. We gather to strengthen training programs and improve outcomes for thousands of farmers nationwide.
