New Entry depends on our staff team and the valuable contributions of interns, volunteers, and Massachusetts Service Alliance Commonwealth Corps members to support work in all program areas throughout the year.

    Jennifer Hashley

    she/her

    Director

    Jennifer Hashley is the Trisha Pérez Kennealy and Michael Kennealy Director for New Entry. Prior to becoming Director in 2006, Jennifer was the New Entry Project Coordinator for five years.

    Associate Director

    Eduardo has been the Associate Director at New Entry Sustainable Farming Project (New Entry) since August 2024.

    Sam Fonvielle

    Communication and Community Engagement Program Administrator

    Sam leads New Entry’s communications and marketing from planning and strategy through execution, and supports volunteer management and data system management. 

Farmer Training

    Senior Farmer Training Program Manager

    Tara supports all stages of farmer education at New Entry, manages grant deliverables, and collaborates closely with colleagues to advance shared program goals.

    Ben Zoba

    Beginning Farmer Educator

    Ben helps new and prospective farmers get the training and resources they need to succeed as growers. His responsibilities include developing curricula and teaching farming/production courses as well as exploring innovative methods for building soil-health while growing crops.

    Leah Jurman

    Incubator Farm Manager

    Leah, New Entry's Incubator Farm Manager, is responsible for managing technical assistance programs and serving as the primary coordinator for enrolled incubator farmers.

    Technical Assistance Manager

    Emily is dedicated to supporting new farmers on their journey to establish thriving and economically viable farms. 

Food Hub

    Food Hub Co-Manager

    Sara is responsible for providing oversight and management of the Food Hub and serving as the team leader for local food access and distribution programming.

    Food Hub Co-Manager

    Erik serves as Co-Manager of the New Entry Food Hub, overseeing the packing and distribution of wholesale, food access, and CSA orders.

    Food Hub Commonwealth Corps Member

    Arika Freeman-Gritter serves in New Entry's Food Hub as a part of the Commonwealth Corps Program run by the Massachusetts Service Alliance. Through this program she will be contributing to New Entry's work, particularly the mobile market.

National Programs

    Colleen Hanley

    National Program Manager

    Colleen facilitates the Farm Incubation and Education through Land Based Skills Development (FIELD) Network, which is a national Community of Practice that brings together farm educators for webinars, resource sharing, technical assistance, field trips, workshops, and collaborative learning.

    Caitlin Kenney

    she/her

    National Technical Assistance Coordinator

    Caitlin is the National Technical Assistance Coordinator at New Entry within its FIELD Network program. She does outreach to promote USDA programs and land access services for beginning farmer land-based training networks.
